These homeowners in Violet, Cherokee county, wanted a solar solution that would be functional as well as aesthetically appealing. We custom designed and built this wooden shade structure to function as a three-bay carport, using solar panels as the roof to keep most the sun and rain off the cars.
We designed the slope of the carport roof to match the slope of the nearby shed (seen the background of the first photo) to further enhance the aesthetics of the project. The final look is seen in the photos with the car, with the wood fully stained.
